Taranjeet Singh, Country Director, Twitter India has decided to step down from the company. Balaji Krish the company’s global head of revenue strategy and operations has been named as the interim country head.
Before joining Twitter, he was Sales Director, South Asia for BBC Advertising and handled the commercial operations for BBC News. Earlier he worked at Outlook Publishing. Taranjeet has had a rich experience across Print, TV and Digital mediums.
He has announced his exit on Twitter:
“Hello everyone, after 4 amazing years, I have decided to move on from @TwitterIndia – from being one of the first @Twitter employees in #India, to building up the sales team from the ground up, to leading our expansion and investments as the India Country Director #AmazingRide” he tweeted.
He has earlier handled sales and marketing support for Twitter’s advertisers in India.
“India is one of our largest and fastest growing markets worldwide today. We have hired many Tweeps at @TwitterIndia, diversified our client base across the country and continue to be the pulse of Indian society – breaking news, sports, entertainment, politics #Growth” read one of his tweets.

Balaji Kirsh, the interim head is a Wharton MBA, and has worked with Hewlett Packard, Google Inc., and Barclays. He has been with Twitter since 2013, and has been the Senior Director, Global Head of Revenue Strategy and Operations at Twitter.
