Zomato has announced that it has promoted Akriti Chopra as co-founder ahead of its IPO, according to an email shared by Deepinder Goyal, founder.
She started her journey with Zomato in the Finance team where she was responsible for setting up and scaling finance processes for Zomato’s global operations. She has also worked on multiple fund-raises and acquisitions. She was a part of the Global Growth and International Operations teams where she scouted and launched new markets for Zomato. For the last 4 years, she has been leading the Finance and Legal functions.
Prior to joining Zomato, Akriti worked with PwC for 3 years in the Tax & Regulatory practice. Akriti is a Chartered Accountant and graduated from LSR (New Delhi) with a B.Com (Hons) degree.
