Google has acquired Quickoffice for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition is being seen as a move to to bridge Google Apps & its mobile services aimed at business productivity. Quickoffice is known for its office productivity applications across the mobile platforms. Its office suite is available across platforms – Symbian, Android, iOS etc. , and allows users to create, edit – Ms Word, Power Point and Excel documents.
The news of this acquisitions comes immediately post Google’s acquisition of Meebo announced yesterday. Read: Google is acquiring silicon valley startup Meebo !
