Avataar Capital bags $100 million Opportunities Fund

Bengaluru-based – Avataar Capital a growth stage fund, has secured a $100 million Opportunities Fund from institutional funds and limited partners (LPs) for growth-stage B2B startups.

Avataar is a growth stage, Operational fund – partnering with regional Tech-led B2B & SaaS startups to Re-invent, Scale & Transform into businesses.

“We have raised add-on capital from our existing as well as new investors (LPs),” co-founder of Avataar Venture Partners – Mohan Kumar, stated to ‘The Economic Times’.

He also added, “We see opportunities to invest in SaaS companies raising growth capital, B2B marketplaces and B2B2C education and health technology companies.”

Established in 2019 by former partner, Norwest Venture Partners – Kumar and former chief operating officer (COO) of Chennai-based SaaS platform Freshworks – Nishant Rao, the growth stage fund secured $300 million global fund-of-funds – HarbourVest.
