K-12 EdTech start-up Codingal has announced that it has raised $1.2 million in seed funding round. The round saw participation from Summer Capital, Rebright Partners, Y Combinator and Day One Syndicate. Angel investors including Nate Lipscomb (Senior Product Counsel at Youtube), Peter Weck (Co-founder, Simply Hired and StoryJumper) and Ganesh Rengaswamy (Managing Partner at Quona Capital) also participated in the round.
Speaking on the announcement, Vivek Prakash, Co-founder and CEO of Codingal, commented, “Our mission is to inspire school kids to fall in love with coding, and we are building Codingal to deliver high-quality computer science education combined with world-class coding competitions. Codingal plans to build a robust passion economy marketplace for coding education that brings together the best-in-class educators and students who are eager to learn to code.
