GetWork, a campus recruiting platform to post youth jobs and hire across dozens of colleges at once, has raised Rs 30 lakh investment in a pre-Seed funding round from Rudraksh Ventures. Rudraksh Ventures is an early-stage investment firm founded by angel Investor Munish Bhatia, ex-Aon Hewitt and DXC Technologies.
The startup will utilise the current financing to enhance the GetWork recruit candidate-matching AI engine. These AI algorithms will efficiently reduce the time it takes to source, screen and shortlist candidates, which at present takes up at least 60-80% of a recruiter’s time, according to a statement.
There are currently 67,000 students on GetWork searching for jobs and internships. Over 110 colleges, universities and institutes, including NITs, IITs and IIMs have partnered with GetWork to manage their placements and become discoverable to employers, the statement said.
Commenting on the startup, Rahul Veerwal, Founder and CEO, GetWork, said, “There is a need for a platform in the market to facilitate interaction between colleges, companies and students. This academia-industry collaboration will impact the job market at a macro-level.”
Munish Bhatia, Founder, Rudraksh Ventures, said, “GetWork’s robust and strong tech platform, which seamlessly brings together both corporates and colleges, is different from all the other players in the market. The ecosystem that GetWork is building will define the entry level hiring in the next two years.”
Ashish Bhatia, Founder, India Accelerator, said, “There is a need for more tech-based solutions like GetWork today in the HR Tech space. India Accelerator is helping GetWork establish itself not just as a hiring platform for corporates but as a market disruptor to bridge the gap between academia and corporates.”
Founded in 2019, GetWork ties up with colleges, digitize their placement & engagement system, standardize hiring process and make them accessible to employers. The startup charges colleges a subscription per year for platform management, sending invites to the companies, data analytics & more. Companies pay per-placement, or a subscription per year for hiring, branding & keep students engaged with in-web/in-app marketing solutions.
