PF Chang’s expands global presence with first locations in India

As part of the company’s continued global expansion, PF Chang’s announced a new location in Bangalore, with plans to open more locations in Mumbai and other cities in India, bringing the world-renowned Asian-inspired dining experience for the first time.

“We are excited to have India as the next country in our network of international locations,” said Kristen Briede, president of Global Brands & Retail at PF Chang’s. “As we enter our 30th year of business, the timing couldn’t be better to invest in growth and share the PF Chang’s experience with even more people.”

Together with franchisee partners Gourmet Investments Private Limited (GIPL), a Bharti family office company, and HMSHost, part of the Dufry Group, PF Chang’s is proud to offer more diverse food options to Indian residents and travelers . On September 3, the first location, operated by HMSHost, opened in Terminal 2 of Bangalore International Airport , offering a world-class dining experience for travelers. Estimated for later this year, PF Chang’s expansion will also come to Mumbai, with the opening of a brand new bistro location operated by GIPL. Franchisee GIPL also plans to launch locations in the National Capital Region of Delhi in 2024, according to the statement.

While every country and culture is unique, PF Chang’s goal is to provide a consistent and modern dining experience for people around the world. PF Chang’s opened its first international location in Mexico and Kuwait in 2009 and has since opened more than 90 restaurants in 22 countries, as well as more than 200 locations in the United States. Each location, whether a full-scale Bistro restaurant, flagship, PF Chang’s To Go (hybrid model dining concept), or alternative location, features unique design elements that complement the made-from-scratch cuisine menu, the statement said.

With more than 25,000 corporate employees and franchisees worldwide, PF. Chang’s continues to accelerate its global expansion and growth, targeting new international locations in Europe, Southeast Asia and South America. Additional restaurant openings planned for 2023 and 2024 include Guyana, Salt Lake City International Airport, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Shepard Air Force Base near Wichita Falls, Texas .
