KPIT Cummins, a global IT consulting and product engineering company servicing automotive , transportation, manufacturing , engineering and utilities corporations has announced that Ms. Manisha Girotra has joined the board of directors of KPIT Cummins Infosystems Limited, as an Independent director. Ms. Girotra presently heads the Global Independent Investment Bank – Moelis & Co. in India as its Chief Executive Officer.
Prior to joining Moelis India, Ms Girotra was the Chairperson and Country Head of UBS India, from 1998 to 2012. She is a gold medalist in Economics from the University of Delhi, and has extensive expertise in the areas of large corporate deals, mergers and acquisitions. During her career spanning over 20 years, she has extensive expertise in the areas of large corporate deals including IPCL – Reliance merger, the privatization of VSNL< and the largest cross border deal in Indian corporate history – the USD 13 Billion acquisition of HITL’s interest in Hutchinson Essar by Vodafone. She has also led the north America listing for Infosys, Genpact and WNS. She has also successfully executed India IPO’s of several companies including reliance petroleum, Reliance Power, DLF , Idea, Bharti, Adani Power as well as GDR issue of Tata Steel and GMR Group’s QIP.
