PwC India has launched Demand Driven Materials Requirement Planning (DDMRP) offering as a part of its Supply Chain Transformation suite of solutions. The offering, aimed at manufacturing and distribution companies, will help significantly reduce inventories, while improving service levels. PwC has deep expertise in the area and has partnered with The Demand Driven Institute (DDI) for training and certifying a team of PwC consultants in India.
PwC India also has technology capabilities to enable and deploy DDMRP solutions for its clients, through its alliances and experience with leading platforms.
Ivan Lavatelli, Associate Partner, PwC Italy said, “We are among the pioneers in implementing DDMRP, and have consistently delivered inventory reductions, with a concurrent improvement in service levels for our clients across industries such as industrial and consumer products. DDMRP would be particularly relevant in the India supply chain context, given the associated uncertainties in areas such as supply lead times.”
Sastry Subrahmanya, Partner and Leader, Supply Chain Transformation, PwC India said, “We have constantly endeavored to bring cutting edge global innovations to India to make Indian businesses fit for the future. I believe DDMRP as a planning concept is at an inflection point, having been enabled by a mature set of digital solutions. We look forward to working with companies that will adopt them to strengthen their Industry 4.0 journey.”
