Unacademy Announces ‘CodeChef SnackDown 2021’

Unacademy, India’s learning platform, has announced the 6th edition of SnackDown, a multi-round programming competition. The contest is open to all school and college students, as well as working professionals, a statement made by the platform informed.

The statement added, “The registration for SnackDown 2021 has started and will be open until 19th October 2021. The first online qualifying round will be held from 14th October to 19th October. The grand online finale is scheduled to be held on 9th January 2022. The detailed schedule and learning resources are available on the website. This year, SnackDown 2021 will be an individual-participant competition due to the pandemic situation, unlike its previous versions. The SnackDown 2021 Champion will receive $10000 & the SnackDown Gold Trophy. The first runner-up and the second runner-up will get cash prizes worth $7500 and $5000 respectively, along with trophies and merchandise. Top 10 Indian programmers and global rank holders from 4 to 25 will receive cash prizes. To participate in the event, programmers may visit the SnackDown 2021 website, and register themselves.”

SnackDown was started by CodeChef in the year 2010 with an aim to get the finest programmers from around the world to compete with one another. Unacademy took over the custodianship of CodeChef in June 2020.

Unacademy was founded by Gaurav Munjal, Hemesh Singh, and Roman Saini in 2015. Started as a YouTube channel by Gaurav Munjal in 2010, Unacademy is India’s learning platform with a network of over 60,000 registered Educators and over 62 million Learners.
