V.K.Viswanathan has been appointed as Chairman at Bosch ltd. Presently he is the President of Bosch Group in India and Managing Director of Bosch Limited. This decision of his appointment was taken on 5th June 2013 during the company’s board meeting. His appointment as Chairman will be with effect from 1st July 2013. He will be taking the place of Dr A Hieronimus, who is the present Director & Chairman of the board of directors and will be relieved from the position on 1st of July.
The board of directors of Bosch has appointed Peter Tyroller as additional director of the company and has accepted the resignation of Dr B. Bohr and B. Muthuraman as directors of the company with effect from July 1, 2013.

In 2006: He took over as Senior Vice president of the Automotive Electronics and Electrical Division, North America. He subsequently became the Regional President of the Electrical Drives Division in USA.
February 2008: President of Bosch Group in India and Managing Director of Bosch Limited.
Prior to joining Bosch Ltd., he served as Group Treasurer & Head (Mergers and Acquisitions) at Hindustan Lever Ltd., and was associated with it in various capacities for 17 years. He is a Chartered Accountant. and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Madras University.
