Coronavirus outbreak: Indeed instructs all employees to work from home

Companies across the globe are reacting to the coronavirus outbreak. The virus has spread across the globe impacting businesses in a great manner. Reports claim that the Covid-19 crisis has created new epicenters in Europe and the US. Companies are uniting in these troubled times, taking all possible measures to stop the virus from spreading further and suggesting its employees to work from home until further notice.

In a recent statement, Indeed stated, “Indeed’s top priority is the health and safety of our employees. As the COVID-19 coronavirus evolves into a global health concern, we have made the decision to ask all employees to work from home until further notice. Our goal is to minimize the risk to employees and help to lower the probability of the spread of the virus to you, your families and the communities where we operate.”

It added, “We have also made the decision to halt all business travel and to cancel all near-term Indeed-hosted events. While we recognize these measures will be inconvenient for some, we will do our best to support you. We feel it is the right action to safeguard the health and well-being of our employees while still enabling us to continue to fulfill our mission of helping people get jobs.” 

Company also confirmed that all of its employees are safe. It said, “While we do not have any confirmed cases of employees with the virus, we continue to act out of an abundance of caution. We are well equipped to continuously serve our job seekers and our clients in a remote work environment. We are constantly evaluating this evolving situation and adjusting tactics based on new information to keep you safe.”
