AI startup TAIGER ropes in former IBM exec to its Board

TAIGER, a Singapore-based AI startup  announced the appointment of Bruno Di Leo as a member of its board of directors, effective immediately. 

Di Leo’s experience as an engine of business success for IBM’s global markets will be a valuable asset in shaping TAIGER’s strategic plans and growing in its key markets, the statement said.

Di Leo , an IBM veteran, has more than 35 years of experience driving business success for technology companies. In his last position as Senior Vice President of Global Markets at IBM, he was in charge of 220,000 employees in 140 countries and was responsible for generating more than $ 80 billion in revenue.

“As we look to establish ourselves in key markets such as Latin America and Eastern Europe, I am pleased that Bruno is joining our board of directors and advisory council,” said SinuhĂ© Arroyo, founder and CEO of TAIGER. “Bruno’s deep experience leading IBM’s global business operations will be invaluable to us. Like the tech giant IBM, TAIGER is part of the information technology and artificial intelligence industries. TAIGER solutions automate fundamental and cognitive work with its hybrid AI and natural language processing technology. The startup first made its foray into Singapore in 2005, when their smart virtual assistant won them a major strategic government tender. Today, TAIGER has projects in Singapore, Madrid , Moscow, Dubai and Mexico, and its eyes are on continuing to expand into higher growth markets.

He is also a member of the international advisory board of the Institute for Higher Business Studies in Spain, and of the advisory board of the Deming Center of the Columbia Business School in the United States.
