Biocon Limited, an innovation-led global biopharmaceuticals company, announced the resignation of Prasad Deshpande as Head – SCM and Central Engineering, with effect from January 16, 2024.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “Pursuant to Regulation 30 read with Para A of Part A of Schedule III of SEBI Listing Regulations, this is to inform you that Mr. Prasad Deshpande has tendered his resignation from the position of Head– SCM and Central Engineering, Senior Management Personnel of the Company, due to personal reasons and to pursue other opportunities. The resignation will be effective from the close of working hours of January 16, 2024.”
Prasad Deshpande joined Biocon in March 2011. Prasad started his career with Kirloskar Oil Engines, where he worked for 2 years. He later moved to the U.S., where he worked with Pfizer for 13 years in various leadership positions.
Prasad specializes in Operational Excellence and Lean Improvement, Global End-to-End Supply Chain Management, Contract Manufacturing and Pharmaceutical Outsourcing in Asia Pacific
He has a BE in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pune and an MS in Manufacturing Management from the University of Toledo.
