DNEG has announced that Tom Jacomb has been elevated to the position of President, DNEG Animation.
Tom helped launch its Feature Animation division back in 2014 and has guided the team’s growth to over 500 talented professionals across its animation studios in London, Los Angeles, Montréal and Mumbai, according to a statement.
In his new role, he’ll be overseeing further worldwide investment and expansion for DNEG Animation, including expansion into Vancouver and the creation of up to a hundred new animation roles in the city.
Speaking on the announcement, CEO Namit Malhotra commented, “Tom’s promotion, and the onboarding of five new senior members of his team, supports our ambition for DNEG Animation to become one of the best and most highly regarded animation studios in the world.
