Philips has appointed Vishpala Reddy as its new human resources head for the Indian subcontinent, replacing Armaan Seth. Vishpala to join as HR Head in May.
Vishpala has about 20 years of experience in the field of HR, of which she worked with American Express for nearly 12 years. She has also worked with HR consulting firm Aon and Cognizant Technology.
Prior to this role, Vishpala was the regional HR director for Uber across the APAC region. She had joined Uber in 2017 as the chief people officer for India and South Asia region. Prior to Uber, Vishpala was leading Human Resources for American Express in India across P&L, Servicing and Capability LOB’s comprising a diverse workforce of 12000+ employees, the second largest market by headcount for Amex globally.
Vishpala plays an active role as a Board member of National HR Development Network 2016-2019 and has led their Young Minds Advisory Board. Vishpala has experience across HR COE roles as well as HR consulting experience with Hewitt Associates
Vishpala holds an MBA in HR from Symbiosis Centre for Management and HRD and bachelor’s degree from St Francis Xavier College Mumbai.
