MedAchievers join hands with Venture India to launch a $100 million healthcare fund for research purposes.

Healthcare platform MedAchievers is joining hands with Venture India, a leading sub-continent business consultancy, to launch a USD 100 million fund ‘MedAchievers Connect’ to fund cutting-edge research in healthcare in India.

Resources say the funding will primarily be used for research and development, which includes sports medicines.

Venture India was founded by Michael Kasprowicz, a former Australian cricketer who is currently serving the board of Australia India Council of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Australia.

“MedAchievers, in the last 4 years, have supported startups in 6 geographies including the United Kingdom and Australia. With this $100 million fund, we will be supporting 15 startups in India and through this, we are looking to offer the best balance between investments, innovations, and implementation,” says Dr. Harsha Vardhan, founder MedAchievers.

“Australian companies see incredible opportunity in Indian healthcare market and are keen to learn from innovations happening in Indian healthcare market, while Australia can share its knowledge in sports medicine domain, which has matured in Australia,” Kasprowicz said.

Since 2014 MedAchievers has been active in the global business healthcare space. They have got over 400 hospitals onboard with over 50,000 medical doctors in India.

The innovative technologies will be shared with these hospitals to improve healthcare delivery across India, Vardhan said.
