Bank of Baroda introduces ‘Employee-Assistance Programme’ in association with EAP India

Bank of Baroda (BoB) has launched an ‘Employee Assistance Programme’ that is aimed to help it’s employees deal with their personal and professional issues by providing them psychological counselling and consulting. 

The well-being programme is introduced in association with Employee Assistance Program (EAP) India Pvt Ltd., for the welfare of the employees and their family members. 

The program, initially being introduced as a Pilot project in Mumbai zone and corporate office of BoB, is the first step of the bank towards supporting the emotional well-being of the employees and to address related issues. 

The aim of the programme is to improve the morale of the employees along with creating a happy and positive ambience that will affect the productivity positively. 

With a workforce of 84,000 people, 60% of which, in the age bracket of 18 – 35, Prakash Vir Rathi, GM-HRM, BoB states that it is natural for them to “often face peer pressure, career and ambition issues, relationship / adjustment issues, etc.”

Bank of Baroda, established on 20th July 1908, is a State-owned banking and financial services organisation, headquartered in Vadodara in Gujarat, India. The Bank’s distribution network includes 8,950+ branches, 12,000+ ATMs, 1,200+ self-service e-lobbies, 18,000 Business Correspondents and an international presence with a network of 100 branches/offices of subsidiaries, spanning 20 countries.
